MANCHESTER — Cindy Gaffney was honored recently with the Paul Harris Fellow recognition by the Rotary Club of Manchester.
A Manchester native, Gaffney was honored for her impactful contributions to the club and the community, from civic to charitable.
Gaffney is the community relations manager of the private, nonprofit Child and Family Services of NH. She has served on the boards of Manchester Crimeline, Manchester Zoning Board of Adjustment, and Big Brothers Big Sisters NH, and has served on the committee for Leadership Greater Manchester Alumni.
She has been with the Rotary for more than 15 years, serving as its program chairman for the last five years, and on its foundation committee for the past three years.
The Paul Harris Fellow recognizes a person whose life demonstrates a shared purpose with the objectives and mission of the Rotary Foundation to build world understanding and peace.

NH State Grange holds deputy school
CONCORD — The New Hampshire State Grange, under the direction of State Master Chris Heath, recently held its annual State Grange Deputy School and Leaders Conference at the NH Fire Academy.
The annual Deputy School has been held by the State Grange for more than 100 years. The Grange Deputies and State Grange Committees come together to plan and discuss the new programs for the 2017 year.
The State Master and General Deputy Andrew Savage met with the Grange members who will be serving as Subordinate, Pomona and Special Deputies this year.
